Welcome back to a new year of Swimming. I’m relatively new in the role, and it has been fantastic to see all the swimmers back in the water. I would also like to say a huge thank you to all the club volunteers, everyone who helps run the club. Everyone generously volunteers their own personal time to help support all aspects of running a swimming club for the sole benefit of the swimmers. We have about 100 members who require a team of dedicated volunteers to manage the following activities: *Organising trial swims *Swim Training and Development through the stages and Coaching of Pre-Squad and Squad *Collection of membership data and ongoing management of our membership *Managing, issuing and collecting the fees *Managing our safe-guarding and welfare responsibilities *Dealing with ever changing Covid guidance, and working with Swim England and Devizes Leisure centre *Training and development of our committee members, from Swim Teachers & Coaches, through to Time Keepers, Welfare, Secretary, Treasurer and more! So I would just like to say once again, a big thank you from me for all the time and effort that goes in to running the club, both on poolside and behind the scenes. Lets hope 2022 is a better year with fewer disruptions.
